I really want to bet on this match because there is a hidden opportunity to make a nice profit. We already know Bursa is a stunning team since last season. They have the title of being Turkish Super League champion after 4 big teams; Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Trabzon. Let's look at Eskisehir. They are promoted 2 seasons ago. But I want to say that they were in Super League before many times. Besiktas, that we are watching recently is very different comparing to recent years. Guti and Quarizma suited to each other but they are not the only ones that we should consider. Besiktas players are very hard working and the discipline in the team is at his highest level. They keep their defense line a little further and their ball passing percentage is much higher.

Buyuksehir in the history was always a headache to Istanbul clubs like Besiktas , Fenerbahce, and Galatasaray . Abdullah Avci is a very respected and a very consistent coach. His does not scare any criticism as they are the only team who has no fan. The thing is that Buyuksehir has fast forwarders and we must consider that Besiktas is forming a new system in defense line.

Having great players in front line Besiktas will win the game but when they are facing Buyuksehir and keeping their defense closer to the midfield they will have serious problems in securing their net. Buyuksehir is a good counter attack team. OVER 2.5

The start of Turkish league was a nightmare for Antalyaspor as they got a defeat of 4-0 by Fenerbahce. It is their bad luck that fenerbahce was being criticized by media and they did not want to make another mistake. And Antalyaspor was the slaughter for them. The goals Antalyaspor conceded, came like rain and the game ended very early for Fenerbahce. They have some problems at defending. Mehmet Ozdilek the coach noticed it and made the substitution of Yenal and Sedat in the second half of the match. This season, Antalyaspor will be playing their home matches at Mardan which has the capacity of 10000 seats. "If fans fill half of the stadium, we will feel the support" said Mehmet Ozdilek coach of Antalyaspor.

Sivas won the opening match against Galatasaray. They made a great come back. Early in the match, they were behind 0-1. But they managed to bring the points. In the recent years Konya became a very inconsistent team in Turkish Super League. When they qualify to first division they don't form a good squad and then drop to the second league again. Especially when Turkish teams are getting stronger and when there is an observable reform in the quality of Super League. Last week they played against last champion Bursa and got defeated 0-1. Buyuksehir is the most stable team in Turkish leagues by keeping their talent young coach Abdullah Avci for many years. Maybe the reason for keeping him is that there is no fan supporting this team and no brutal media to criticize. But on the other hand finishing the league at 6th position without any support of fans at the stadium must be marked as success. It is also true all big teams like Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas lost or drew to Buyuksehir many times in the near past. They transferred Swedish player Samuel Tobias Holmen. Like recent summers, Abdullah Avci made a very good camping period. He prepared his team well enough. They will be more organized than many teams in the league. Without losing key players, they brought a few but necessary players. Players in the team suit each other very well.

Kayseri sent their coach Tolunay Kafkas and replaced him by bringing Shota, who is a very young and inexperienced coach. But no one can criticize his talent as a player. Kayseri's most interesting transfers are:- Onder Turaci and Andre Moritz who was flash striker of Kasimpasa last season. But losing players like (Ali Turan, Aydin, Toledo and Makakula who was last year's best striker) will reduce their strength. It is a fact that Shota needs time to fix this team ready and bring good performance. No matter how they were good in the prep games in camping period.

16.AGUST.2010 TURKISH LEAGUE 1 BURSA vs KONYA TIME : 20:00 CET

Last year's champion Bursa is opening their season in front of their fans. It will be a gala for Bursa city. Because this is the first match of Bursa with title of champion. Keeping the majority of players and adding other players which necessary like Insua,Damien Steinert,Milan Stepanov,Nunez, Bursa is again candidate for the Turkish championship. In the preparation period they played enough games. And they satisfied me with the results they made. Everything was going well until they played the super cup final against last year's cup winner Trabzon. They lost 3-0. The mistakes they made in back are very serious but I believe their coach Ertugrul Saglam will solve these problems. Sometimes it is good to lose games like this especially before the league games start. Bursa has enough potential to beat Konya at home. It is very much expected that fans will fill the stadium and no seats will be empty for tonight's gala. This may look like an easy game but what makes it important is that Bursa will be playing champion's league games and in that traffic they may lose or draw to many Turkish teams. And such games like Konya at home are must win ones. On the other hand they have just lost to Trabzon by being hammered 3 times. They must show that it was an accident. And this is another motivation for them to beat Konya. Also it is true the tactic on this game will be much more different than the tactic on super cup game.

Konya came back to super league after a year break that they spent in division two. Strange things are happening in Konya. First:- they transferred an Australian goal keeper and sent him in 6 weeks without making him play in any game. Second:- Ayman, paid back all the money he received from the club and left. God knows if he would come back. Konya has serious financial problems. And their squad is brand new so that they will have long time to form a system. But on the other hand Ziya Dogan the new coach is known as defend maker. He does not like making offensive teams. That is for sure he will make a very defensive Konya especially when he has 22 new players for the team.

There is a big quality different between 2 teams. And bursa will want to take all points as they will have a very high traffic in the following weeks. Konya is a brand new team and their capacity is low to get a point from such teams like Bursa. But on the other hand Bursa will want the score as fast as possible and may make the mistakes that they did at super cup final. They may concede a goal. And they may score many as well. This is a good bet for playing over 2.5 and a small amount of stake for Bursa handicap win.

15.AGUST.2010 TURKISH LEAGUE 1 ANKARAGUCU vs TRABZON TIME : 18:30 CET

Ankaragucu's new coach is Umit Ozat. He was a football player just 2 years ago and I am very doubtful of him to do something for this club. They could not start early nor do their transfers as the squad was overloaded with many players who had to join from the brother team Ankaraspor. I remember they had more than 35 players once and it was a challenge for them to figure out which ones to keep and send. If you evaluate each players 1 by 1 you will see high quality ones but as a team they are something different. Ankaragucu has many fans and they are a history club. But I must remind here that no one will be allowed watching the game. So there will be silence during the whole 90 minutes. In the friendly and preparation games they did show well.

Trabzon last year did a fantastic decision by bringing Senol Gunes back to the club and the team started to climb up the table rapidly. They proved their performance by beating Fenerbahce in Cup game with a result of 3-1. In the last game of season they played against Fenerbahce in Istanbul and by getting a score of 1-1 which was more than enough to kick Fenerbahce out of championship.it was a big drama for Fenerbahce. From my point of view they are the biggest candidate of championship as they did not lose important players and their motivation is very high because the whole fans are looking for being champion after many years.

Trabzon did not only keep good players but also they brought Jaja which made fans happy. They started this season by celebrating Super Cup against Bursa who was last year's champion. The score and the game they played were stunning. 3-0

Trabzon should win.

15.AGUST.2010 TURKISH LEAGUE 1 FENERBAHCE vs ANTALYA TIME : 20:45 CET

After a long time Fenerbahce took the decision of assigning a Turkish coach. ZIco, Aragones, Daum and now Aykut Kocaman who was a legend striker in the history of club. Aykut Kocaman deserved to take this position as he did good job when he was coaching Ankaraspor. The fans need patient if they want him to bring success to their team. So far we did not see a big system difference in Fenerbahce . The thing is that Fenerbahce is still depended on a few players. It is a fact that without Lugano who plays in Uruguay national team, Fenerbahce is allowing its opponents serious position.

Fenerbahce made a great transfer by signing Niang from Marseille. But this is a very late one and he won't be able to play in this match. Another new transfer Dia will be off too as he was injured in national game. Lugano is doubtful. Guiza and Deivid are injured as well. It is very important to announce here is that Fenerbahce is going to be playing European cup in the midweek and it is a very serious task especially when playing against Paok who kicked the net of Ajax 4 times and eliminated without losing both legs. Another important thing should come to your attention is that there will not be any fan supporting Fenerbahce as it is their penalty to play in front of empty seats.

Last year's flash team Antalyaspor did not lose its important players. And their strength in offense is still a treat for the goal keepers of any team in Turkey. Mehmet Ozdilek is a constant coach comparing to many of them who resigns or being fired by the managers of football clubs in Turkey. He is young but I am sure there are many clubs would open their doors to him as he proved himself more than enough.

The best bet here is to put some stakes on Antalya not to lose and over 2.5.

BUCA vs BESIKTAS

This is a very cool bet. I can smell the taste of Apple Pie. But this one is Alamode with ice cream on top.

2 years ago a friend of my father talked to me on phone mentioning to bet my money on Buca every week. At that time Buca was in third division. But now they are Super League member. I wish I listened his word. Anyway… This team is new in Super League but it is a fact that the management knows what they are doing. You should see how good their facilities are. The president takes his job very preciously and all his plans are for long term achievements. They are the best team of last 2 seasons as they have a stunning performance. The below transfers are showing that they are going to be permanent and will not relegate.

The new transfers of Buca are:- Bulent Uygun (New Coach), Musa Aydin (Sivasspor), Stjepan Tomas (Gaziantepspor), Atahan Menekse (Kocaelispor), Serkan Atak (Hacettepe), Carlos Alberto Fernandes (Rio Ave), Victor Mendy (Metz), Kamil Ahmet Corekci (Millwall), Kadir Atkin (Altinordu), Ragip Basdag (Eskisehirspor), Ergun Cengiz (Yeni Malatyaspor), Omer Kahveci (A.Demirspor), Ibrahim Dagasan (Sivasspor). The players left the club are:- Ozcan Kiziltan (Coach), Yilmaz Ozlem (Goztepe), Cenk Tekelioglu (Altay), Turker Demirhan (Goztepe), Yakup Sertkaya (Balikesirspor), Cem Kargin (no team), Yunus Altun (no team), Murat Karakoç (no team), Mehmet Batdal (Galatasaray).

Besiktas made the most shocking transfers as they brought Schuster who was once Real Madrid's coach. Nobody believed Quaresma would come to Turkey until we saw him signing the contract on TV. Guti, no matter what his age I am sure he will be more than enough to bring extra energy to the team especially in Super League.

The new transfers of Besiktas are:- Bernd Schuster (Coach), Roberto Hilbert (Stutgart), Ricardo Quaresma (Inter), Cenk Gonen (Denizlispor).

The players left t he club are:- Mustafa Denizli (Coach), Serdar Ozkan (Galatasaray), Batuhan Karadeniz (Eskisehirspor), Kenan Ozer (Antalyaspor), Erkan Zengin (Eskisehirspor), Korcan Celikay (no team).

I know Besiktas is a very strong team with offensive players like Nihat, Guti, Quaresma but there is a tradition that whoever comes to Turkey to coach a team, has a big tend to make a mistake in his first matches of the season. Besides, Buca should not be considered as underdog. They will do very best of them and will hit Besiktas's net at least once. Therefore I will split my bet with Buca not to lose and over 2.5.

GAZIANTEP vs KASIMPASA

Gaziantep brought Tolunay Kafkas who was ex-coach of Kayseri. The team is making a reform. They transferred Yalcin Ayhan (Antalyaspor), Senol Can (Antalyaspor), Elyasa Sume (Ankaragucu), Mehmet Yilmaz (Eskisehirspor), Alper Akcan (Kaiserslautern), Emre Gungor (Galatasaray). They sent Jose Couerio (Coach), Stjepan Tomas (Bucaspor), Erkan Sekman (Antalyaspor). New transfers reinforced the defense and midfield. Gaziantep is simply above many teams in Turkish league. I believe they will do great with their new coach who is young and has experience of this league. They beat Ankaragucu and Kayserispor in the friendly games and showed that they take the new season very serious.

Kasimpasa is also forming a new team and system. They brought Nikolay Dimitrov (Levski Sofya), Georgi Sarnov (Levski Sofya), Ersen Martin (Manisaspor), Huseyin Kala (Sekerspor), Aboul Rahim Sebah (Charleroi), Seyit Guner (Anderlecht). They sent Andre Moritz (Kayserispor), Murat Ak?n (Orduspor). They will have a serious challenge playing in Gaziantep and the ones left team were last year's 2 very good players.

Simply, Gaziantep is stronger team with better players and playing at home is making their chance double. Kasimpasa lost Moritz and Murat Akin. I believe they will only fight for relegation this season and cannot beat strong Gaziantep especially when playing in their field.

SIVAS vs GALATASRAY

TIME : 19:00 CET

Last season Sivas disappointed their fans by finishing the table at fifteenth position. It was unexpected as other 2 seasons before last year were stunning and they were considered to be the first champ out of 4 big teams. This year they brought new players:-- Diallo from Diyarbakir, Ricardo Pedriel from Giresunspor, Sead Ramovic from Tromso,Denis ?vanovs from Ajax Cape Town, Mehmet Nas from Manisspor and Sedat Yesilkaya from Kasimpasa. It was obvious that sending players like Faruk, Musa and Ibrahim was a very good decision as they were not taking responsibility and playing from the hearth. When Mesut Bakkal took the team at a very bad shape, he managed to produce good performance but now he has a team which he spent time and made his own transfers.

Galatasaray finished the table at third position, and transferred new players like Mehmet Baddal from Buca,Musa Çai?ran from Altay, Serdar Ozkan from Besiktas,Çaglar Birinci from Denizli, Ali Turan from Kayseri, Cana from Sunderland, Pino from Monaco. To remind you here I would like to mention Pino is injured and won't be fit in the following 4-6 weeks. The good news is that Harry Kewell did very well at last game away to Belgrad and showed he was 100 % fit and in good form. At past, the problem for Galatasaray playing away to Sivas was the bad air conditions and bad field. It is not going to be cold as we are in the middle of August. But on the other hand we must consider that Galatasaray will be playing EL qualification match and it is a big fact that everyone in the club takes it very serious when playing in Europe.

Therefore I believe a draw is very possible in this match an if it does not happen I would insure my bet with under 2.5.

ESKISEHIR vs GENCLERBIRLIGI

TIME : 21:00 CET

Eskisehir had a very efficient preparation period. Comparing to their budget they made the best transfers in Turkish league. They reinforced their attacking ways by bringing very offensive players. From Besiktas:- Batuhan Karadeniz (young national striker), Erkan Zengin, Tello (Chilean national player). From Galatasaray :- Emre Gungor (defender). From Genoa:- Oliviera (hired) . From Porto:- Gomes and Pele. It looks like they are very much inspired of the success that Bursa did last season. Therefore they formed a team who will fight for the very high position in league table. It is a very hot August in Turkey and people are fasting. This could be a challenge for the fans to fill the stadium but game will kick off at 22:00 by Turkish time and it is true that Eskisehir fans will eager to witness the new players taking stage. It is recorded that Eskisehir had 15 wins last season and 11 of them are home victories. In the press meeting Batuhan mentioned he is going to hit the net. Oliviera will not be in the squad as he is a late transfer.

Genclerbirligi made a lot of transfers but many of them are unheard and will have some challenges in suiting this level of football. Bekim Balaj, Debatik Curri, Ermin Zec, Cem Atan, Oktay Delibalta, Haluk Ulasoglu are some of their new players. It is true that this team has serious problems in defending and Tomas Dolll, their coach is not very successful in away games. The biggest handicap for Genclerbirligi is the long time injury Mustafa Pektemek. Tomas must find a different system as the team plays accordingly to this striker. Another important injury is defender Aykut.

Eskisehir has all advantages comparing to their host. They are always a big threat even to the big teams at home. The game will be played late so the fans will be able to watch. I guess it be a nice evening for everyone in the stadium. This is the first match of the new season and I guess unready Genclerbirligi can only get a point and if only luck be with them.
